My passion for cooking started as a child. I was the youngest of all of my siblings. My mother became ill and couldn’t cook for the family as she’d always had. So, one day I went into our pantry at 11 years old and found some boxed meals to prepare for my siblings, my mom, and myself to eat. The ability to feed my family and the gratitude from my mom sparked a relationship with me and cooking for a lifetime.
The older I got the more refined my skills became. I fell in love with creating amazing meals and flavors for everyone at the table.
I began making my favorite desserts that I grew up on as a child. I made these childhood recipes my own by using ingredients that boasted of bold flavors. The more people tried them and fell in love the more excited I became to make them for everyone.
My least favorite dessert to prepare were cheesecakes. Why? I've always been a quick cook in the kitchen, and I’d always seen cheesecakes to be labor intensive and time consuming. However, it didn’t sit well with me that I didn’t know or excel in something. Now, the cheesecake recipes I create are flawless and amazing. My flavors are now connecting us all one by one and state by state. My cheesecake’s have been coined “The Great American Cheesecake”, and it all started from a hungry 11 year old trying to help her ailing mom feed the family as she nursed herself back to health. Who knew?
Every time I serve another satisfied customer it takes me back to sitting at the dinner table and watching my brother and sisters eat the humble meals I’d prepared as a child.
This journey has been amazing so far and it only gets better from here. So please join me and my family at the dinner table to enjoy a slice of the Great American Cheesecake. Once you’ve had one, you’ll become part of the family forever.
